My Story
Who the hell is Aleyx?!
I’m a Brand Strategist, Copywriter, Marketer and Speaker.
I’m also a wife, mother, friend and coffee lover (BIIIIG part of my identity).
But most importantly, I’m a storyteller through and through.
And here’s my story and why I do what I do.
Stories saved me…
I grew up in a dysfunctional household with chaos all around. But stories helped me escape, connected me to other worlds and imagine another life. Stories got me through a rough childhood.
Searching for story…
My love of story led me to study journalism. As a curious being, journalism seemed like a logical career until I learned what it took to get a story. Turns out it wasn’t for me, but boy did I sure have a wild four years learning the craft.
Discovering my story…
A few years after graduating I left my marketing role and the UK to travel and ‘find myself’. But the universe had other plans when last minute a ‘friend’ joined me. We fell in love somewhere between Thailand and New Zealand, eventually calling Australia home. Spoiler Alert – 10 years later he’s my husband.
Story is everywhere…
I fell in love with marketing because it enabled me to use my passion for curiosity and creativity. Marketing is all about understanding your customers and bringing creative solutions to them. I worked all this out on the job and while completing my master’s in marketing.
Story change up…
After marrying my fellow travel partner in Thailand in 2020, I fell pregnant with our first child and a whole new story began. This set me on the path where I started to question what I truly wanted from life.
Not everyone has a happy ending…
But in 2021 my world caved in when a childhood friend took his life. It highlighted how finite life can be and triggered me to write the novel I’d been telling myself I’d write since … forever (watch this space)
A new chapter…
Life continued until I got the kick I needed from the universe which was a redundancy in February 2024 and…
Core Story was born.

And it’s not about escapism. It’s one of the most powerful tools you can use in business.
